Born in Rouyn-Noranda, in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Pierre-Yves Comtois is a prolific illustrator with an overflowing imagination. The desire to be useful and to recreate links with the living world led him to become first a specialized educator and then a horticulturist. He has written for magazines, for the Montreal Botanical Garden and on the web. In 2017, he reconnects with comics and animation and became a layout artist in a Montreal studio. His drawings, long confined to the margins, now take center stage.
